Succession Planning

Business succession and owner’s exit planning are crucial to getting the most value out of your company.  Jeanne Anderson can help you map out your strategy for your exit plan.

This may include an outright sale of the business, or bringing in a junior partner to work in the company for a period of time and eventually take the reins.  Or, the company could be gifted or sold to the next generation. Other options are taking the company public, merging it with a strategic buyer, selling to employees, or even bankruptcy if necessary.  Often Estate Planning is a part of this process, and Jeanne Anderson has a wealth of experience to offer her business clients in this area.

Each client and each company is unique.  A clear, workable, action plan is the best way to accomplish the goal of preserving the value of the company for the owner.  And the stakes are even higher when the company is family-owned: an added key goal is to preserve the family relationships, which requires a solid and fair structure for all concerned.

Planning ahead enough in advance, sometimes several years, before the owner’s exit, is critical for business succession and owner’s exit planning to succeed.
